A noted philanthropist, Fuad El-Hibri holds ties with a number of charitable and civic-minded organizations. He formerly served on the advisory board for the American University and served as a member of the Yale Healthcare Conference and the National Health Museum. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for the United States Chamber of Commerce. Fuad El-Hibri founded and oversees the El-Hibri Charitable Foundation as Chairman.

Over the course of his career as an executive and philanthropist, Fuad El-Hibri has earned a wide array of awards, honors, and commendations in recognition of his dedication and commitment. During his tenure with Emergent BioSolutions, the company earned designation as one of the Best Security Leaders and Best Places to Work in Industry by Security Magazine and The Scientist, respectively. In addition, he was named Biotech CEO of the Year by the World Vaccine Congress. Furthermore, he was named Executive of the Year by the Tech Council of Maryland.
